  • Prescreening each case for free, and discussing with the client the best way forward

 

  • Informing the client about the availability of information so the client can make an informed decision about their genealogy project

 

  • Protecting a client’s privacy

 

  • Delivering accurate information, documenting family connections and providing a reference/document source list

 

  • Providing documents that were uncovered during the research

 

  • Presenting research findings, interpretations and opinions using a clear and organized approach

 

  • Explaining all fees and payment structures

 

  • Abiding by agreements regarding project hours

 

  • Meeting deadlines
